Finding things

Find in a note

Jump to every place a word appears in the note you're reading.

What it is for

A long note is quicker to search than to scroll. Find highlights every match in the open note and takes you from one to the next.

How to use it

  1. Press ⌘F (Ctrl+F on Windows), or the magnifying glass at the top of the note. That's the way on a phone.
  2. Type a word. Every match is highlighted, with a count such as 3 of 12.
  3. Press Enter for the next match and Shift+Enter for the previous one. Esc closes the bar.
  4. Press Search all notes to look for the same word everywhere.
