Finding things
Search
Find any note by a word in its title or body.

What it is for
Folders tell you where a note should be; search finds it when you cannot remember. It looks through every title and every note, ranks the best matches first, and shows the phrase it matched.
How to use it
- Press Search (the magnifying glass) at the top of the sidebar.
- Type a word or two. Results appear as you type, with the matching phrase highlighted under each title.
- Click a result to open it.
Example
That decision from last month
You remember the meeting decided on a vendor but not which note it was in. Search the vendor's name and the matching sentence shows under the note's title.
Good to know
- Search matches whole words: bill finds bill but not billing. Try the full word, or a different one.
- Offline, search still works on this device's notes, but results are not ranked and have no highlighted phrase.
- Starred notes keep their star in the results.
