Your account and signing out
Who you are signed in as, and how to sign out properly.
What it is for
Check which account you are in — useful if you have more than one — and sign out cleanly on a shared machine.
How to use it
- Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar to open the account menu. Its first line is the email you are signed in with, and it shows whether you are on Free or Pro.
- Log out is the last item in that menu. On a phone the menu opens from the bottom of the screen. Settings has its own Sign out at the bottom of its menu too.
- Press ⌘, (Ctrl+, on Windows) from your notes or Help to jump straight to Settings.
- Every Settings page has its own address, so a support reply can link straight to the right one.
Example
A borrowed laptop
Sign out when you are done. That also clears the notes stored on that machine, so nothing of yours stays behind.
Good to know
- Forgot your password? On the Log in page choose Email, then Forgot password?, and follow the link we send you.
- Signing in with Google and signing up with the same email and a password currently make two separate accounts. Use the same method each time.
- Signing in with Apple and choosing Hide My Email gives Mnemox a private Apple address instead of your own, so it is a different account from one made with your real email. Use Apple each time on that account.
