Push a note to JiraPro
The same push, into a Jira project.
What it is for
A note becomes tracked work in the tracker your team actually runs on, without leaving the note. If you use Linear and Jira for different teams, you push to either from the same notes.
How to use it
- Select the part you want (or nothing, for the whole note).
- Press the Jira button beside the note title, or right-click → Push to Jira. With a line selected, you can also right-click the selection → Send to Jira.
- Choose a project and an issue type. Assignee, priority and due date are optional.
- Check the title and description, then press Push. The issue key appears beside the line it came from.
Example
Work on Jira, side project on Linear
Push the client actions to Jira and your own project's tasks to Linear, from one set of notes, without changing any settings.
Good to know
- Everything in Push to Linear applies: it signs in as you, converts formatting properly, and fails honestly.
- Priority comes from your Jira site's own scheme, and is hidden when the project has none — that is not a missing field.
- Sub-task types are not offered, because a sub-task needs a parent issue.
- Formatting is converted to Jira's own format. Anything Jira cannot show arrives as plain text rather than being dropped.
- Push to Jira is part of Pro.
