Reminders
Get a notification on your phone about a note, at the time you choose.
What it is for
A note you need again on Thursday is easy to forget by Thursday. A reminder brings it back at the right moment: your phone buzzes, and tapping the notification opens that note.
How to use it
- In the Mnemox app on your iPhone or Android phone, open a note and tap the bell under its title (or right-click a note → Remind me…).
- Pick Later today, This evening, Tomorrow morning or Next week, or choose any date and time and press Set.
- The first time, your phone asks whether Mnemox may send notifications. Allow it, or reminders cannot reach you.
- The time then shows under the note's title. Tap it to change the time or remove the reminder.
Examples
Before a call
Your notes for Thursday's call with a client are ready on Monday. Set a reminder for Thursday at 9am, and the notes open with one tap that morning.
Something to follow up
A meeting note says you'll hear back by Friday. Set a reminder for Friday afternoon, so the note reminds you to chase it if you haven't.
Good to know
- Reminders arrive as notifications in the Mnemox phone app. Once a phone is set up, you can also set them from the Mac app or a browser, and they arrive on that phone.
- A note has one reminder. Setting a new time replaces it.
- If notifications are off for Mnemox in your phone's settings, the reminder is kept but cannot reach you. Turn them on in Settings → Notifications → Mnemox.
- Signing out on a phone stops it receiving your reminders. Deleting the note deletes its reminder.
- Reminders arrive within about a minute of the time you set, as long as your phone is online.
