See and sign out of your devices
Every browser and app you are signed in on, and how to end any of them.
What it is for
Lets you check where your account is open and close it anywhere you no longer use — a library computer, an old phone, a laptop you sold. It saves changing your password just to be sure.
How to use it
- Open Settings → Account and scroll to Devices.
- Each row names the device ("Chrome on macOS", "Safari on iPhone", "Mnemox for Mac") and when it was last active. The one you are using says This device.
- Choose Log out on any other row to sign that device out.
- Or choose Log out of other devices to sign out everywhere except here. You will be asked to confirm.
- The three most recent show first; Show more lists the rest.
Example
You signed in on a hotel business-centre computer
Back on your own laptop, find the row with that browser and choose Log out. You do not need to remember whether you signed out there.
Good to know
- A device you sign out stops being able to refresh its sign-in straight away, but a page it already has open can keep working for up to an hour before it is asked to sign in again.
- Anything that device edited offline is not lost: it syncs once someone signs in on it again.
- Signing out this device is in the account menu (Log out), because it also clears the notes stored on it.
- There is no location column. Mnemox does not look up where an address is.
