Writing

  • Rich text

Headings, bold, italic, quotes, code blocks and dividers, with Markdown shortcuts as you type.

  • Lists and checklists

Bullets, numbered lists and tasks, nested as deep as you need with Tab.

  • Tables

Insert a table and add or remove rows and columns as the note grows.

  • Collapsible headings

Fold any section away and open it again when you need it.

  • Auto-save

Every change is saved a second after you stop typing. There is no save button.

  • DrawingsPro

A canvas inside a note for boxes, arrows, freehand and text, edited in place or full screen.

Organising

  • Nested folders

Folders inside folders, as deep as you like.

  • Drag to reorder

Arrange notes and folders by hand, or drop a note onto a folder to move it.

  • Tabs

Keep several notes open at once on desktop and switch between them in a click.

  • Favourites

Star the notes you keep coming back to so they stand out in a long list.

  • Tags

Tag notes and filter the sidebar by one tag or several.

  • CanvasesPro

Start a note that opens straight into a full-size drawing.

Finding

  • Full-text search

Ranked search across every title and note, with the matching phrase highlighted.

  • Pick up where you left off

Reopening the app lands on the note you were last in.

  • A link to every note

Each note has its own address you can bookmark.

Offline and sync

  • Works offline

Write with no connection at all. Every keystroke is kept on your device first.

  • Sync across devices

Your notes follow you to every device and update live, with no sync button.

  • No conflicts

Edit the same note in two places, even both offline, and the changes merge.

Sharing and export

  • Share a read-only link

Share a note, a folder or a canvas with anyone, no account needed to read it.

  • Expiry and revocation

Links can expire after 7 or 30 days, and stop working the moment you revoke them.

  • Markdown export

Download any note as a Markdown file.

Turning notes into work

  • Push to LinearPro

Turn a note, or just the line you selected, into a Linear issue.

  • Push to JiraPro

The same, into a Jira project, with your site's own issue types and priorities.

  • Live issue statusPro

The issue number sits beside the line it came from and shows its current status.

  • Meeting notes from your calendarPro

One click makes a note for each of today's meetings from Google Calendar.

Make it yours

  • Light, dark or custom theme

Follow your system, or pick your own background and accent colour.

  • Sidebar your way

Always visible, expand on hover, or tucked away.

Pro

The meeting ends. The work starts itself.

Every note has a line in it that should have been an issue. Pro sends it straight to Linear or Jira - title, description, assignee, project and due date - without you retyping a word or opening another tab.

How pushing works

  1. Select the line that matters

A meeting note holds a dozen threads and one of them is a task. Highlight it. Only what you selected is sent - the rest of the note stays where it belongs.

  2. Fill in what the issue needs

Where it goes, who owns it, how urgent it is and when it is due. Linear asks for a team, Jira for a project and issue type; both offer your own assignees and priorities rather than a fixed list. The title defaults to the first line you selected and the description is pre-filled as Markdown, both editable before anything is created.

  3. The issue comes back to the note

Its number appears beside the line it came from and stays there, moving with that text as you edit. One note can hold several - a single meeting can become four issues, each sitting next to the sentence that produced it.

The details

It converts properly, not as plain text

Headings, nested lists, task lists with their checked state, tables and code blocks all survive the trip as real Markdown. What you wrote is what lands in the issue.

What you see is what is sent

The description box shows the exact Markdown that will be created, and you can edit it first. Trim a long note down to the part the issue is actually about, or clear it entirely for an issue with just a title.

It signs in as you

Issues are created under your own Linear or Jira account, not as a bot, so they appear with your name and respect the permissions you already have. Connecting takes one approval and is not repeated.

It fails honestly

Offline, it says so and tells you the note is safe rather than inviting you to retry into the void. If the connection expires it offers to reconnect. Nothing is ever half-created.

Jira

Turn a note into a Jira issue in three steps: select, review, push. You choose the project, issue type and priority - your site's own scheme, not a fixed list - and the note's headings, lists, checklists, tables and code arrive as real Jira formatting.

Drawings

A canvas inside a note - boxes, arrows, freehand and text - for the diagram that belongs next to the paragraph explaining it. Edit it in place, or full screen when you need the room. Drawings sync to your other devices and work offline like the rest of a note. Two people cannot draw on one canvas at the same time yet.

What stays free

Everything about writing and keeping your notes. Unlimited notes and folders, offline editing, sync across every device, tags, search and Markdown export are free on every plan and are not moving. Pro adds what you do with a note - pushing it to a tracker, and the drawing canvas. Your words are never held behind a paywall, and a drawing you already made stays in your note and stays readable if you stop paying.
